Fall and Winter Travel Ideas to Explore in Michigan
Don't Bed Down Your RV for Winter Just Yet

You don't have to winterize your RV just because summer is over. The cooler months are still a great time for camping; there's more fun waiting to be discovered by you in your RV this fall and winter. Get your RV ready to enjoy these travel ideas in Michigan this year!

Fall color tours -- Michigan has 19 million acres of vibrant, color-changing trees to observe. October is the best time to coast down country roads and highways in your RV and to view the bold red, yellow and orange colors.

Harvest fun -- Pick fresh fruits and vegetables at Michigan's farms and orchards. Different farms offer a variety of fresh produce and activities for you and your family -- corn mazes, delicious cider and donuts, petting zoos and more!

Wine trails -- Travel down the scenic wine trails of Michigan to a winery or vineyard to sip sensational wines. There are over 50 wineries located in 13,500 acres of beautiful vineyards.

Hunting -- There are thousands of acres in Michigan to hunt deer, upland game birds, small game and waterfowl. Your RV's kitchen is ideal for cleaning, preparing and freezing the small game and fish you catch on your outdoor adventures.

Winter sports -- Michigan has more than 40 downhill ski resorts and over 6,204 miles of groomed snowmobiling trails -- making it the perfect place to enjoy winter sports. This season, try skiing, snowmobiling, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ice-skating, and even dogsledding!

Winter festivals -- Fun and excitement can be found at the winter festivals throughout Michigan. You'll find festivals boasting ice carving and sculptures, snowman building contests, dogsledding, ice-skating and much more entertainment!

Play outside -- Bundle up and explore the outdoors! Fall is a great time to enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing and many other outdoor activities you may enjoy. Gather the family together for old-fashioned, snow-filled fun. Catch snowflakes on your tongue, build snowmen, make snow angels, and then return to the comfort of your RV for some hot cocoa.
