| Pump Technology Enables Polisher to Run Constantly |
|
|
Keeping water and impurities out of a diesel engine's fuel system is important, but it doesn't have to consume the entire battery. Parker Energy Systems' patent-pending FPM-050 Fuel Polishing Module is designed to remove emulsified water from diesel fuel systems and prevent contaminant build up by maximizing the effectiveness of Racor's fuel filter/water separators. The FPM-050 offers exceptionally low power draw and long life, increasing value to the owner.
The state-of-the-art piezoelectric pump installed in the FPM-050 uses about 2W to run, equivalent to 3.6 A-hr/day. Common navigation lights even take more power to operate. With such a low power draw, the FPM-050 can run continuously and unattended for extended periods of time, without depleting the battery. When run constantly, the module prevents water and other contaminants from accumulating in the fuel system, keeping the engine at peak performance levels.
The FPM-050's piezoelectric pump also features substantially longer life than other displacement pumps. The ingenious design of the FPM-050's pump eliminates many of the wear points that others typically have, enabling owners of the FPM-050 to enjoy many years of use without seeing performance diminish over time.
Parker Energy Systems' FPM-050 Fuel Polishing Module has a price of $587. The piezoelectric pump and Racor fuel filter/water separator are included.
